LCU 2000 Service Life Extension Plan (SLEP) & On-Condition Cyclic Maintenance (OCCM)
Opportunity to Survey the LCU 2000 Vessel(s)
Offerors will be granted an opportunity to view the LCU 2000 vessel(s) within 30 days after final RFP release. Interested prime offerors who would like to view the LCU 2000 vessel(s) shall submit an email titled LCU 2000 Survey Opportunity to matthew.d.kunkel2.civ@mail.mil requesting to take part in the LCU 2000 vessel(s) survey.
This email must be received no later than 10 business days following final RFP release. The
Procuring Contracting Officer (PCO) will inform all interested offerors of the timing and details of the survey event(s) within 20 business days of final RFP release.
The vessel(s) being offered for survey opportunity is (are) located at Joint Base Langley-
Eustis (JBLE), Ft. Eustis, Virginia. The duration of the survey opportunity will be one 8-hour day. Each offeror will be allowed no more than four representatives to attend (to include sub-contractors representatives).
All interested prime offerors will be shown the split-ship variations along with a tour of the impacted
SLEP areas to be implemented in a "windshield tour" format. Interested offerors will have the remainder of the survey period to view the vessel(s) via a "guided "walking tour". Prior to the walking tour, interested offerors will be assigned a Government escort. The Government escort will accompany interested offerors to ensure compliance with vessel rules and regulations. Photography may be allowed.
Interested offerors will be given the opportunity to survey the vessel(s); take measurements, and record written data as desired. The Government will attempt to make available a limited number of vessels so that interested offerors can go inside a different configuration of vessel, but there is no guarantee due to mission requirements and the limited time available. Offerors shall be required to follow all vessel rules and regulations throughout the survey opportunities.
