About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for the W519TC-25-R-0041 Sources Sought solicitation for IMX-104 Production Capability. The Q&A addresses four key questions regarding the potential production facility. The United States Government (USG) indicates a preference for sourcing raw precursor materials domestically (CONUS), and highlights uncertainties around material supply from the Holston facility. Specifically, DNAN is not manufactured at Holston and may not be available, while RDX might be potentially provided but is not guaranteed.
Regarding facility operations, the USG clarified that if the IMX-104 production facility is located at Holston Army Ammunition Plant, it would be turned over to the Holston Operating Contractor. However, for a facility located outside of Holston, the USG would consider third-party operation options. This Q&A document provides insight into the government's preliminary thinking about the IMX-104 production capability project, offering potential vendors preliminary guidance on sourcing, material availability, and potential operational arrangements.

3 Will Holston provide the RDX for the IMX-104 line? RDX may be possibly provided from Holston; however, it is not guaranteed.
