About this file
This document is a requirements specification for the acquisition of a laser cutting and engraving system. The procuring entity seeks an open-top laser system with a minimum bed size of 48" X 24" equipped with a 150-Watt sealed CO2 laser capable of etching metal components and cutting foam, wood, and plastics, with optional thin metal cutting capability. The system must include a vacuum table with fume exhaust and a gantry arm fume exhaust system to manage operational byproducts.
The vendor must provide a high-performance computer package with integrated laser software and deliver a turnkey operation through on-site technician training and initial system setup. A minimum one-year warranty covering component replacement and troubleshooting support is required. The specification emphasizes system versatility through an open-top design rather than an enclosed system with a lid, allowing for greater flexibility in material handling and processing.
