No. Question Government Response

1 In section 5.1.2. - If all of the unknown waste is hazardous, will the 171st ANG require said waste to be stored on site and removed 2,200 pounds per month at a time? Please clarify.

Since the 171st is a small quantity generator, we cannot exceed the 2,200 lbs per month removal. We have other hazardous waste that is removed from the base each month, which is why this must be coordinated with the Environmental manager. Yes, the waste shall be stored on base and removed at a monthly rate that will allow us to remain below the 2,200 lbs monthly limit. The base Environmental Manager can ask for a one-time waiver to exceed the 2,200 lbs, but it is not a guarantee that it will be granted.

2 In section 5.5 - Can the contractor use the a hydrant for refill? Yes, a hydrant can be used to re-fill the OWS. The base can provide the fire hose.

3 Is there a tow motor on site? They should bring all equipment needed to do the job. We do have forklifts on base.

4 Can equipment be left on site overnight? Yes, equipment may be stored on site for the length of the on-site work timeline.

5 What are the diameter of the lines that requires jetting? What is the total distance of pipe that requires jetting?

Within the OWS tanks, jet the discharge lines from the OWS to around 25 feet past the OWS. Distance can be less than 25 feet, it just depends on each OWS set-up. Diameters are various to each OWS. Do not have that information readily available. This is meant to be a quick cleaning of any build-up of the OWS discharge lines from the tanks to around the 25 feet vicinity of the OWS, and not an in-depth jetting of the full length of the OWS discharge line. Not all OWS will be able to have the lines jetted. This is mainly for the larger OWSs.
