Solicitation W50S8R-23-R-0004 – 2nd Site Visit Questions and Answers
Question 1. Can equipment be left on base.
Answer 1. Equipment can be left on base after it has passed the initial inspection performed by the main gate. Equipment must be staged out of the way to prevent flow of traffic, does not impede wing or airport operations, etc.
Question 2. How can we access the site daily?
Answer 2. After personnel are cleared by the main gate, they can traverse the Cairns road gate provided the contractors are aware of the following:
- Any new equipment brought to the installation must be inspected by the Main Gate before bringing it through Cairns Rd Gate.
- They are not permitted to bring any new members on the installation that had not been previously vetted and credentialed
- At no time are they permitted to utilize the access road to access the main base
- Their vehicle and equipment are still subject to search when entering Cairns Rd Gate and random credential checks will be conducted by our patrols
