About this file

This document is a Request for Information (RFI) related to a fuel storage facility project, focusing on specific technical and operational details. The RFI addresses several key inquiries, including applicable standards (ANGETL 24-01-03, UFC 3-600-01, UFC 3-601-02, UFGS 28 31 76, and NFPA guidance), fuel tank specifications (105,000-gallon capacity each), and existing infrastructure. The document indicates that current UV/IR detectors at the fuel tanks should be left in place and are not part of the annual inspection reports. The RFI also seeks clarification on as-built wire run drawings, system downtime mitigation strategies, and historical information about a previously planned foam suppression system that was never fully implemented.

RFI’S

Can you inform us of any ANG standards that may be governing this? Listed in the SOW:

ANGETL 24-01-03, UFC 3-600-01, UFC 3-601-02, UFGS 28 31 76 as well as NFPA guidance.

How many gallons each are the fuel storage tanks? 105,000-gallon capacity each Leave current UV/IR detectors at the fuel tanks as they are. They should not be considered for this project. They are not included in annual inspection reports.

Do you have as built drawings of wire runs? Only what was in the solicitation

How long can the controls be down for? While we understand there will be some down time to the controls, we ask that it be kept to a minimum as there would be no detection or notification for the facility during that time. We ask that you provide a narrative describing how your plan will mitigate down time to the system which will be reviewed and require approval.

Does the base keep any records of the removal of the foam and if so, may we review them. The foam suppression system shown in the drawings was never installed. Piping was installed for fire trucks to respond with foam, but this too has since been removed.
