DESCRIPTION:
Building 1 has a low slope, ethylene polypropylene diene monomer (EPDM) membrane roof.
Section G of the roof membrane is no longer attached to the underlying board. The total surface area of Section G is approximately 5,400 square feet. Core cutout is described in the table below.
The roof is not currently leaking. The roof can be accessed through a staircase shown in the figure below.
OPTION: Building 26 has a flat EPDM roof. The roof is 26 years old, presents pinholes, and started to detach from the insulation. The total surface area of Section B is approximately 4,000 square feet. The core cutouts are described in the table below. The roof is leaking. The roof can be accessed through a ladder shown in the figure below or a portable ladder or lift.
The roofs are to be repaired per the most current version of Unified Facility Code (UFC) 3-110- 03 Roofing military standards. The UFC can be downloaded from https://www.wbdg.org. The roof area measurements are approximate and shall be field verified by the contractor during the site visit, and prior to offering a price estimate. Contractor may propose alternative solutions for consideration to the below scope prior to the contract award. If there is a contradiction between the UFC and this Scope of Work (SOW), Contractor shall bring it to the attention of the Contracting Officer Representative (COR), who will provide guidance.
