About this file
This document contains a Request for Information (RFI) with three key questions related to a stucco repair project for Building 100. The questions address: 1) identifying a specific stucco material manufacturer, 2) clarifying repair requirements for Building 100N, and 3) color matching expectations for cement materials. The government's responses indicate that:
For the stucco material, contractors must submit an AF 3000 Material Approval Submittal form with a proposed stucco material that matches the existing tan finish on adjacent wall panels. For Building 100N, the specific repair involves removing an existing panel that is peeling from the ceiling and replacing it with a secure panel. Regarding color matching, the government acknowledges that cement mixes may vary slightly, and expects contractors to match the color as closely as possible, understanding that older panels will show more wear. The responses provide clarity on expectations for material selection, panel replacement, and color consistency for the repair project.

Text version
1. As per the Performance Work Statement (PWS), the new stucco material is required to "match existing." Is there a specific stucco product or manufacturer currently used on Building 100 that we are required to match?
We do not have any cutsheets in our records indicating a specific manufacturer. Prior to starting work, we ask that the contractor submit an AF 3000 Material Approval Submittal form with the proposed stucco material. Color to match the existing tan finish on adjacent stucco wall panels.
2. Can you help specify a little more on what is required for building 100N? It is not clear from the pictures and the work description.
The existing panel is peeling away from the connecting ceiling, and several fasteners have failed over time. The contractor shall remove the existing panel and replace in kind with a secure panel.
3. Are you ok if the cement colors do not match exactly? As you know each type of cement mix is slightly different and the old vs. new will show in the coloring as well?
That is to be expected, especially considering the old adjacent panels will have more wear on them. The contractor shall match as close as possible to the existing.
