About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI) document providing answers to nine questions regarding federal solicitation W50S8C26QA013 for a Gym HVAC project, received as of 08 July 2026.
The project involves installation of three electric suspended unit heaters in Building 67 and is under federal jurisdiction, typically exempt from local permitting requirements. Contractors may choose to provide stamped engineering or serve as engineer of record. The work is subject to Service Contract Labor Standards with Wage Determination No. 2015-5595, Revision 28 (dated 5/13/2026) for Washoe County. No preferred manufacturer or model requirements are specified; equivalent products are acceptable. Contractors are responsible for sizing the three heater units based on room dimensions and applicable characteristics. The existing electrical service available to Building 67 is 120/208V, 225A. The contractor must design the new electrical panel and conduit scope based on heater unit sizing and submit the design to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for approval. Minimal as-built documentation exists for the building; a preliminary (non-construction) panel schedule is available, but contractors must verify actual field conditions. Supporting photographs of the existing electrical panel, current heater installations, and Building 67 facility conditions are included in the RFI to assist contractors in understanding the scope and existing infrastructure constraints.
