About this file

This is a Request for Information (RFI) response document providing answers to questions about the Building 130 Water Break project under Solicitation W50S8C26QA008, issued as of April 17, 2026.

The broken 8-inch diameter Victaulic pipe extends approximately 50 linear feet from the tee fitting to the exterior wall. The shut-off ball valve is located approximately 50 feet from the building. The water line is connected to the municipal system and should be treated as potable water. Hydrant locations are confirmed in the provided site plan image, which shows two fire hydrants marked in red circles at the building perimeter. According to the government, no other repairs are anticipated inside or beneath the building in the affected area. The Water Plan shows the 8-inch line running to various valve points (V-87, V-88, V-89, V-90) around Building 130 (Fuel Cell Hangar), while the Sewer Plan confirms that no other utilities are present in the proposed excavation area beyond the existing 4-inch drainage infrastructure already shown on site plans.
