If the intent is to repurpose the existing frame(s) – do you have drawings and/or pictures of the current frame(s)? Is it an option to replace entirely the current frame(s) with new frame(s)?
Can you clarify if this is the dimension of the viewable area? Or does this dimension represent the overall sign including the enclosure/frame?
Can you clarify if there is a preferred pixel pitch for the LED Panels?
Has there been any thought about design preferences?
Would it be preferred more if the signage was pylon style or monument style?
What is the goal of this signage? Does it need to be capable of displaying both text and images?
What is the size of the current size? What would be the ideal size for a new signage project?
Is the site visit mandatory or optional?
The intent of the USG is to keep the frame intact.
The enclosure of the frame is 98in by 44 ¼ in the display can be bigger then this but then would need to be bolted to the outside of the frame
Preferred Pixel Pitch is 10mm
Monument style only.
The goal is to be able to display digital custom images and text in full color, and be able to change them freely.
Please see above in #3 for size of the interior of the frame where the sign will be mounted.
The site visit is optional for anyone who can make it.
Question Gov Response W50S8A-24-Q-0023 RFIs and Answers
What is the protocol for submitting a bid? Where can GRS go to access the bid and remain updated as it goes through the bid process?
Is the new sign going in the same location as the old sign?
If not, has a new location for a sign been identified? Can you provide a site image?
Will you accept 4G cellular for communication? 4G cellular is more secure than wireless Ethernet which can be hacked to gain access to base computers
Is the 8ft x 4ft the measurement to the outside of the brown frame or is it the inside dimension (the active LED area)?
Can you get me the dimensions of the existing sign enclosure? We're specifically looking for the distance between the poles and height of the existing sign.
Access to the bid will all be done via SAM.gov. Quotes can be submitted to the Contract Specialist listed in the solicitation
The sign will be in the same location as the current sign.
We will NOT accept 4g cellular communication of the display. Wireless via wi-fi or wired only
The measurement to the outside of the frame is 98 inches X 44 1/4in the digital display(s) should be close to this but can exceed it if it can still be fastened to the frame and looks professional.
Dimensions between the poles is 98 Inches, the height of the existing sign is 44-1/4 inches. Please see above in #3 for drawing
