| SZCQ162092 REPAIR POL OPS, BLDG 165 | ||||||
| RFI # | TITLE | Date Received | Date Sent to A/E | Date Posted | ANSWER | ADDENDUM ISSUED/REQUIRED |
| 1 | On the water line – it looks like owner proposing 8x8x6 tee (vs. live tap and valve)? Will we be allowed to turn off the water to that line to cut in the tee? It appears that there are 2 hydrants on the line, and that it continues beyond B165. Also do not see a lot GVs in line that would isolate the line. Please clarify. | ||||||
| 7-Apr-22 | 8-Apr-22 | 22-Apr-22 | Provide tap in accordance with specification section 33 11 00 - Water Utility Distribution Piping. | ||||
| 2 | • Excess soils disposal – Waste Management has balked at taking soils from the base (due to the PFAS issue, and that there is no established acceptable PFAS levels for landfill soils). We estimate that there will be between 50-75 Y of excess soils, accounting for the 16-18” of bedding on the pipes, and replacing the spec’d base and subbase materials under the asphalt patches. It’s not a lot, but we’ll need a plan to deal with it, which usually means that the ANG needs to lose it on base. Also – this assumes we can reuse existing soils above the pipe bedding, below the select base materials or loam. Please clarify. | ||||||
| 7-Apr-22 | 8-Apr-22 | 22-Apr-22 | Excess soil can be disposed of at the existing on-base pit. Existing soils can also be reused above the pipe bedding and below the sub-base material or topsoil if the soil meets the satisfactory material requirements defined in specification section 31 23 00.00 20 - Excavation and Fill, paragraph 2.1.1. | ||||
