About this file

This document contains questions and answers regarding an industrial fan installation project at an Army National Guard facility. The project involves installing high-volume low-speed industrial fans on both sides of an aircraft hangar that measures approximately 170 feet in length, 150 feet in width, and 45-50 feet in height. The ceiling structure is sloped to match the steel roof trusses. The answers provide details such as the location of the existing fire alarm panel and electrical panels, as well as specifications regarding available voltage, space in the electrical panel, and clearances for running electrical wiring along the roof trusses. No fixed equipment below the planned fan installation area needs relocation. Proper fan installation must prevent any dark spots in the hangar and potential strobe effects from lights.

The related federal contract opportunity is solicitation number W50S82-23-Q-0XHM for industrial fans requiring high-volume low-speed fans with installation services. The opportunity is issued by the Department of the Army Maryland Army National Guard.
