RFI #3

1) Existing Exterior Push Button and Interior ON/OFF switch - Currently the interior switch turns the exterior push button controller on/off. For the interior on/off switch, would prefer it to be simple as it is or use a keyed on/off switch as shown below? Available with Best Cylinder or Equivalent Lockout Core.

a. THE GOVERNMENT HAS NO PREFERENCE.

2) Same goes for the exterior push button controller, keep the same or add a key to the push button as shown below? Available with Best Cylinder or Equivalent Lockout Core

3) Safety Photo Eye Type - Are you requiring through beam photo eyes or a retro reflective photo eye? Thru-beam Photo Eyes - One eye mounted and wired at both sides of the door. Retro-reflective Photo Eye - One eye mounted and wired at one side of the door. A reflector is mounted to the other side of the door

a. GOVERNMENT HAS NO PREFERNCE.

4) Safety Bottom Brackets - Currently there are safety bottom roller brackets on the doors. These brackets are designed to lock up the door in the event that a cable or spring would break causing the door to drop. This item adds significant costs to each door. Include or don't include?

a. GOVERNMENT HAS STATED IN THE SOW THE DOORS ARE TO BE REPLACED IN-KIND. IF THE CURRENT DOORS HAVE THIS SAFETY ITEM THEN IT NEEDS TO BE INSTALLED ON THE NEW DOORS ALONG WITH ALL THE ADDITION SAFTY ITEMS THAT WE ARE REQUESTING.

5) Paint - Existing doors are field painted with Urbane Bronze Colored Paint. Are you allowing any substitutions like our Industrial Brown?

a. THE GOVERNMENT WILL ACCEPT ONLY URBANE BRONZE
