Text version

The SOW states that the base system should have two (2) HDMI inputs per room side (for a total of 4), which we assume are for the Presenter’s PCs. Please clarify if the two HDMI inputs per side are for a single PC on each room side that is running in Extended Desktop mode (meaning the PC actually sends two separate outputs) or if the two HDMI inputs per side are for two separate Presenter PCs per side.

- Two separate presenter’s PCs

The SOW states that the system should be designed for expansion up to an additional 25 video inputs. It was mentioned during the walk-through that they would like to be able (at some point in the future, we assume) to display a computer from each user row (of which there appeared to be six (6) in one room side and three (3) in the other) on the video wall. Would the computer from each user row be a dedicated PC that would be routable to the displays or would any PC on the row need to be able to be selected and routed? Given that there was a total of 9 rows with 4 to 5 computers per row, this would mean the difference between selecting between 9 different computers and 39 different computers. We are trying to determine how much expansion the system will actually need to accommodate.

- The initial set-up is for 1 dedicated PC from every row.

In addition to the desktop PCs on the rows, there were also PCs on individual desks at the sides of the room, of which there appeared to be 7 or 8. Would any of these need to be able to be selected and routed to the video wall and if so, how many?

- Would like the input from the closest desk to the video wall e.g. in the corner to display on the video wall

All the PCs we saw have two (2) outputs - an analog VGA output and a digital DisplayPort output, each of which was feeding a separate monitor (meaning every PC was operating in Extended Desktop mode). Do all of the PCs that would need to be selected and routed to the video wall need to be able to send both of the Extended Desktop outputs? Or do we only need to send one of the PC outputs to display on the video wall, CFE displays and projector? We ask because we need to determine if we have to account for two inputs to the switching system for every computer or just one. This also affects the number of transmitters and signal converters.

- Just one output

Reference: PWS 5.0 “The system will include a video wall (3x3) that will be capable of displaying any image from any input.”

- Desired outcome

Question #1: Is there a desired size and resolution for the tiles that make the 3x3 wall. Can we assume 55” LCD with LED backlighting, 1080p resolution?

- There is not a desired size. Best application for the space provided. 1080p resolution is a minimum specification.

Question #2: Is there a desired minimum height from the floor to the bottom of the video wall to allow full visibility over individuals that are seated?

- Need video wall to be visible from the personnel whom are seated on the back row.

Question #3: What is the maximum bezel size (individual or combined) for the video wall?

Reference: PWS 5.0 “The video wall will also have the capability to display any single image to one of the tiles and/or a group of 4 tiles.”

- The maximum bezel size which will accommodate the specification.

Question #4: Does the government require that an HD input can be displayed on a single tile at native HD (1920x1080) resolution?

- Yes

Question #5: Does the government desire ability for 4K (3840x2160) inputs? If so, how many? If so, does the government require that the 4K input display across a 2x2 group of tiles at native 4K resolution?

- The minimum specification for the video wall is 1080p resolution.

Question #6: Does the government require any one input (either HD or 4K) to display across the entire 3x3 video wall?

- HD

Question #7: Does the government require frameless windowing, i.e., any image can be placed in any position without respect to individual panel borders, and windows can be layered, i.e., one image is 3x3 with multiple other inputs “windowed” over it.

Ref: PWS 5.0: A projector will be installed onto a ceiling mount. (2x)

- No

Question #8: Does the government have a specified minimum resolution for the projector? (HD 1920x1080, WUXGA 1920x1200, 4K UHD 3840x2160, 4K 4096x2160 or other.)

- 1080p

Is there any information on the physical dimensions of the room?

- No

Section 5.0 Requirements: “An additional HDMI input (wall or rack mounted – Two) will be installed in both room sections.” How many HDMI Wall Inputs do you need? How many Rack Inputs will be needed?

- Vendor will be required to provide correct number of inputs per equipment installed

Is there power at/near where the ceiling projectors will be installed?

- Yes, in both projector locations

Is there any information on the dropdown projector screens? Are they motorized? Can you confirm the diagonal dimension?

- They are motorized. The diagonal dimension is unknown. DaLite is the screen model.
