About this file

This is a Request for Information (RFI) #1 document for Solicitation/RFQ #W50S7U-26-Q-A002 concerning CES Repair Customer Service Suite B-48, issued on 27 July 2026. The document contains ten questions and answers clarifying contractor scope and requirements across multiple trade disciplines.

The RFI addresses critical scope clarifications for telecommunications/data infrastructure, audiovisual systems, fire protection, fire alarm/mass notification, HVAC modifications, hardware procurement, partition construction, and specification details. For telecom/data work, the contractor is responsible for CAT cabling, pathways/conduit, terminations, labeling, testing/certification, and connections to existing IDF/MDF equipment, with data routed from B-48 Room 111 to Existing Communications Room 115. For audiovisual systems, the Government will furnish and install future TV monitors, mounts, and AV equipment; the contractor must provide High-Speed HDMI Cable (Digital Video with Audio, UHD 4K, CL2 Rated In-Wall type) and HDMI pass-through single gang wall plates in brushed aluminum. Fire sprinkler modifications require contractor performance per NFPA and UFC requirements without design drawings or permits, with contractor-performed water/leak testing witnessed by the Contracting Officer Representative (COR). Fire alarm/mass notification work involves relocating existing devices only without permits or shop drawings, with testing witnessed by COR. No TAB or air balancing is required for HVAC diffuser and duct relocations. The contractor must match the Government's existing BEST lock keying system by Stanley Security Solutions and submit a key schedule for an online keying meeting prior to cylinder ordering. New stud walls extend to the existing metal deck with concrete topping at 16'-0" A.F.F., with new ceiling height at 10'-0" A.F.F. The Government monitors its own fire alarm and sprinkler systems. No additional detailed specifications will be provided beyond those contained in the Statement of Work and drawings.
