MDVL132046, Repair Fire Station Roof Bldg 155 – RFI#2

7 Sep 2022

Question #1 – With existing electrical infrastructure attached to the underside of the roof deck visible in the vehicle bay, how would you recommend the Contractor attaches the ½” DensGlass (or approved equal) recovery board as required in the Statement of Work, paragraph II.5?

Due to the electrical infrastructure, the recommended application method is to adhere with a full foam‐down adhesive product and method. Removal of the existing EPDM will likely remove the face of the existing isocyanurate insulation. Adhesion of the new recovery board shall be with an approved product and method for the existing substrate and proposed recovery board. Mechanical fasteners may only be used for the recovery board if the

Contractor elects to temporarily relocate and reinstall existing infrastructure attached to the roof deck.
