Solicitation Number: W50S72‐24‐Q‐7100 Questions and Answers v1

Current as of 29 April 2024

Q1. Does the chiller have to be placed on the ground or can it be left on a trailer since it's a short term lease?

A1. We would prefer that the chiller be set on the concrete pad next to the existing chiller.

Q2. If the chiller has to be placed on the ground, does the contractor have to unload it?

A2. We can assist with unloading the chiller.

Q3. We notice the specifications mention Glycol, do you know the supply and return water temp needed?

A3. Supply temp needs to be between 40‐ and 45‐degrees Fahrenheit. Return temp will vary based on load.

Q4. Does the government have someone onsite to do the tie in or is that requested as well?

A4. The PWS states that the contractor is to provide delivery, start‐up and return of the chiller and it also lists installation services that are required to connect the chiller to the facility and make it functional. The base will be doing the electrical connections using the power cables provided by the contractor.

Q5. When is the start date?

A5. Preferred start date is 15 May. Depending on when the award is made we would want the install to be as soon as possible after award, but solicitation does state within 2 weeks ARO.

Q6. What will the chiller be cooling?

A6. The chiller will be providing chiller water to several air handling units for a Consolidated Support Facility including a clinic, dining hall, and communications functions.
