Questions & Answers
Weapons Toolboxes
Notice ID: W50S6V25Q0001 Q1. This attachment appears to show 15 x kits – the items showing quantity of 15 are 1 per kit, and the items showing quantity of 30 are 2 per kit, however it is laid out in a way that it is not clear (however if each kit were to contain the quantities shown, they would not fit). Are you able to confirm that this is correct?
A1. Yes, the quantities of 30 mean two of each item and the quantities of 15 mean 1 of each item.
Q2. I was looking over the Weapons Section toolbox characteristics. I wanted to see would you have the part numbers for each item? There are some items that does not provide enough information for example, The tool box could you provide the MFG part number? it has the tool box height 40" is that the total height with the 6" casters or is it height 40" with out casters?
Also it does not provide the drawer highs for each drawer. , and would you steel top or wooden top for the tool box? also for the locking system, would you like to have a key lock or a pad lock locking system (see the attach image)
The screwdrivers, they do not provide how long they are.
The Telescoping inspection mirror, it does not say what the diameter of the mirror is or how long it is.
The Cobra channel lock pliers it does not provide what size this is.
The safety wire pliers is this auto return or reversible?
A2. The toolbox part number for reference is Snap-On KRA2407. This can be found in their industrial catalog. The brand does not need to be specific but the dimensions in the part number must match. The short flat tip screwdriver ¼” in size must not be longer than 3 ½”. The 7/32” flat tip screwdriver must not be longer than 7”. The 5/16” Flat tip screwdriver must not be longer than 5-15/16”. The #1 and #2 Phillips screwdrivers must not be longer than 7-1/8”. Mirror diameter will be no bigger or smaller than 1-1/4”. The Cobra Chanel lock pliers must be 6” size.
The Safety wire pliers are reversible.
Q3.
I am also notices that you have magnetic screwdriver bit socket, and in the customer supplied tools you have a bit holder box, but there are not bits listed on the tools list is that correct?
Also you have a 6" bronze punch but you have a plastic tip hammer but no ball peen hammer? does the plastic hammer need to be a ball peen hammer?
I see you have a safety wire pliers, but I do not see any safety wire on the list nor is on the customer supplied list. Does this need to be added?
A3. The Bits are customer supplied through the AF supply system. The bit holder box will be this (https://www.grainger.com/product/FLAMBEAU-Adjustable-Compartment-Box-30C427)
Please use the link for reference we have these on hand already. The plastic tip hammer is okay the items being removed by the punch do not need a lot of force and damage easily. Also spark mitigation is required. Safety Wire pliers should be on the list the are on our salient characteristics. Dimensions needed are 8-3/4” in length, no longer.
Q4. Do you have a specific part number for the toolboxes and also which aircraft are they specifically for?
A4. The referenceable part number is Snap-On KRA2407. These boxes will be to support the Block 30 F-16C.
