Summary: Statement of Work – Hangar Door Maintenance and Repair
This Statement of Work outlines maintenance and repair services for three MEGA Door brand vertical lift hangar doors located at two facilities: two doors at building 1203 and one door at building 1201. The primary objective is to address metal shaving generation during door operation, which indicates potential mechanical failure and safety risks. The contractor must restore all three doors to full, safe, and correct operational status while eliminating metal shaving production.
The contractor shall provide comprehensive inspection and diagnostics for each door to identify the source of metal shavings, including examination of lift straps, cables, drums, sheaves, rollers, guides, tracks, motors, gearboxes, and door structure. Deliverables include a detailed diagnostic report with identified causes and corrective action recommendations. Corrective maintenance and repair services include removal of foreign objects, replacement of worn or damaged components, realignment of doors and tracks, lubrication per manufacturer specifications, and operational testing to confirm proper functioning. Preventative maintenance services must be performed per ASSA ABLOY (MEGA Door manufacturer) recommendations, including cleaning, lubrication, and adjustment of all relevant components. The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, tools, equipment, and supplies, including replacement components (bearings, rollers, wheels, lift straps, cables, fasteners, seals), industrial-grade lubricants, and finishing materials. All replacement parts must be Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts from MEGA Door (ASSA ABLOY) or equivalents meeting or exceeding OEM specifications. Contractor employees must comply with government facility access requirements, security policies, background check procedures, personal identity verification requirements, and Force Protection Condition (FPCON) directives as applicable to the installation.
