Bid Questions dated: 8/31/20:

· SECTION 284621.11 paragraph 2.9 Asks for an Emergency Responder Radio Coverage system.

This building is very small. Is an ERRCS system required in this building?

o AE Response: An Emergency Responder Radio Coverage system is not required.

· On drawing F-1.0 Note 7 it says to provide a self-amplified secured area fire alarm/Mass notification speaker strobe. We are not aware of any self-amplified fire alarm system devices. Is the intention to provide a sub panel in the SCIF area connected via fiber to the main fire alarm panel as section 3-5.15.5 of UFC 4-010-05 says? Or is the intention to provide a stand-alone 120V Smoke Alarm?

o AE Response: Please refer to the attached cutsheet as an example of an available product for self-amplified speaker strobes. The addition of a sub panel in the SCIF area connected via fiber to the main fire alarm panel is one method of compliance with UFC 4-010-05 Section 3-5.15.5. It is not the intent to provide a stand-alone 120V smoke alarm.
