Since the CCTV system going to be installed in a VLAN provided by the government, is the Army going to run vulnerability tests after the installation is done? How often will those tests are going to take place?

Can you tell us what is the brand of the software used for testing these IT Ports?

a) The Government will be running vulnerability tests on a regular basis. This may include local scans at Tobyhanna Army depot, as well as scans performed remotely by other Government and Department of Defense (DoD) agencies.

b) The vendor should clearly define what network protocols and ports are needed for the proposed system to successfully operate, any unneeded network ports and services should be deactivated, in accordance with the DoD program for Ports, Protocols, and Services Management (PPSM).

b) The software suite(s) that will be used is primarily Government-Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) software that is developed and procured by DoD agencies; however, commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software may be a part of such bundles. The majority of the vulnerability tools to be used are released by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DIA) and Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM).

*Note: This is not a “CCTV” system, as named in the question above. These are Internet Protocol (IP) cameras and will be internet-connected to the local area network.

Customer

038 2/20/2019 RMF Certification is a requirement for all Hardware and Software, is that correct?

Yes, Risk Management Framework (RMF) certification is required for the final system solution that is to be deployed. All proposed hardware, software, servers, databases and applications that are incorporated into the system need to meet the cyber security standards of Tobyhanna Army Depot, the DoD, Army and other Government Agencies.

Customer

The Information Management Division will need to be provided with complete documentation of the Information System (IS) and Information Technology (IT) in use by the Contractor’s proposed system. This documentation will be used to receive approval from the local Configuration Control Board (CCB), as well as for the RMF certification process.

Customer

040 2/20/2019 Is the Contractor responsible to provide cyber security to the systems we are proposing?

All IT equipment shall comply with any, and all, applicable security technical implementation guides (STIGs) and security requirement guides (SRGs) as published by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA).

Customer
