About this file
This document contains questions and answers regarding a solicitation to install an access control point gate at Fort Meade in Maryland. The solicitation seeks a contractor to install and configure a new access control system integrated with automatic sliding gates and intercom capabilities. The existing system utilizes a Galaxy access control platform with Veridt biometric readers. LoCurrent provides maintenance support for the current system. Two 12-foot lanes and a two-foot island are specified, for a total gate width of 26 feet, though the statement of work calls for widening the drive to 32 feet with two 15-foot lanes and the island. The contractor will be responsible for underground utility location and re-seeding areas disturbed during installation. No architectural or electrical drawings of the relevant building are provided.
