Questions and Answers 07-31-20 Clear and Repair Fence, East Windsor, CT
QUESTION 1 : Is there a plan set that provides more detail as to tree removals for this project?
ANSWER:
A: We are only looking to remove 600 Linear Feet of overgrown vegetation, that includes the 500 Linear Feet impeding the damaged fence and an extra 50 Linear Feet on both sides of the damaged fence. The clearing depth of this area is 6 FT, to include the FT of overgrowth through and over the front of the damaged fence and 5 FT behind the damaged fence. We are only asking for overgrown vegetation that is no more than 6 inches in diameter be removed.
QUESTION 2: After looking over everything, if all of the vegetation is over grown as shown in the pictures posted on the solicitation, I am not sure we will be able to accurately price the vegetation removal due to the existing fence. Since the vegetation has grown into the chain link fencing we will not be able to clear it without removing the fencing itself. Our solution to this would be removing all the existing fence that is covered in vegetation, grading it out, then replacing the fence.
