Request for Information Construction – USAR Renovations Salem PA

Supporting: 99th RD, DPW

REQUEST FOR INFORMATION

This Request for Information (RFI) which is issued solely for information and planning purposes and shall not be misconstrued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) nor does it constitute a commitment to the Government. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFQ, if any is issued.

The purpose of the RFI is to seek potential sources and request industry review of the requirement details to obtain a more accurate Specification of Work (SOW).

The U.S. Army Contracting Command – New Jersey is conducting market research to identify potential sources of providing Construction Services – USARC Renovations, in support of the 99th Readiness Division, Department of Public Works (DPW) at Salem, VA. The contractor shall provide all plant, labor, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and transportation to accomplish the following work which consists of but is not limited to: Paint interior surfaces, Paint doors and window trim of Training Center and OMS, Paint ceiling tile grid of Training Center, Supply and install flooring in Training Center, Preparation of wooden floors for refinishing, Refinishing wooden floors, Supply and install VCT, (Vinyl Composition Tile) flooring in Training Center, Supply and install carpet in Training Center, Replace stair tread and landing coverings in Training center, Replace ceiling tiles in training center, and modify Training Center Doors.

The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) associated with this requirement is 236220 “Commercial and Institutional Building Construction.” The corresponding size standard to this NAICS code is $36.5M.

The estimated magnitude of this projected is between $250,000 and $500,000 in accordance with FAR 36.204(b).

General Description: See attached draft Specification of Work. Please pay special attention to the information at SOW section 11. Identify any questions/pitfalls within the SOW per the questions below.

Responses should address the following items:

(1) Provide a capability statement for the particulars of this effort, with appropriate documentation supporting claims of organizational and staff capability.

(2) What type of work has your company performed in the past in support of the same or similar requirement?

(3) Provide your organizations name, address, email address, Website address, phone number and a point of contact to reach.

(5) Provide a statement including current small/large business including socioeconomic status (8a, SDB, HubZone, etc.) under NAICS Code 236220 and company profile to (office location(s), CAGE Code, DUNs number, etc.). If you believe a more appropriate NAICS code applies, please indicate so.
