QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Q1. I have an RFI: In reference to SF1449, on page 53 of 96, Item No. 0001 COL/Heater Maintenance & Support:

Need clarification, see question below:

This line item covers the base year of the contract and it’s only for the heater maintenance, correct? We’re into the HVAC portion of the season once the contract is awarded; so my take on this there’s no preventive maintenance on the base year on the (6) HVAC units for the Whiskey Tents? Please clarify.

Option Years 1 thru 4 have the combination of Heater & HVAC maintenance.

A: When the contract starts work will be on Whiskey tents. This is due to the timing when the new contract would go into effect. PMCS and Maintenance for the Whiskey tents starts June 2019. The heater portion of the contract for the base year starts 15 October 2019 – 15 April 2020. Until that time, the heaters are empty, no fuel in them and stored as of 15 April 2020.

Q2. 2. USASA, Fort Dix currently manages a transient COL operation in support of training, consisting of 84 sleeping tents to house 1,344 warriors during training in colder months. There are currently 50 portable heaters to accomplish this mission.

a. Please supply equipment cuts on the34 Universal 160,000 BTU model number 160‐1F.

b. Please supply equipment cuts on the16 Heat Stars 204,873 BTU model number HS200001D.
