Q: Are the heating and cooling mini splits standard heat pumps or hyper heat pumps?

A: Standard heat pumps.

Q: Can we reuse the wiring at the existing unit ventilators for the new units in those locations?

A: Yes. You can reuse the existing unit ventilators wiring.

Q: Do you want ceiling or wall units? There are some rooms with too much piping etc. above the ceiling for ceiling mount units.

A: Ceiling mounted evaporator units in rooms 104, 110, 124, and 126 and wall mounted evaporator unit in room 109.

Q: The manufacturer I work with does not offer a 1 ton dual zone system it is a 20,000 Btu.

Model. Is that acceptable?

A: The 20,000 is acceptable as long it is a dual zone unit. Room 104 requires 2 each dual zone units.

Q: For room 110 and 109, you show a dual zone heat cool system. Usually a data room or server room has its own unit cooling only, with 0 degree low ambient sized for the heat gain of the computer equipment. How do you want to proceed on that?

A: Room 110 shall have a dual zone heat cool system. Room 109 should be cool zone only.

Q: Room 104 has an existing ducted system. Are you just supplementing the heat and cool in this area?

A: Yes

Q: Has anyone sized the equipment? And do you have a brand that you want to specify?

A: We have sized the units for each room. And no, we cannot specify brand names as long as the units meet the specifications of the Scope of Work.

Q: Are you a 501c3 non-profit organization?

A: No.

Q: Is this a new requirement or is there an incumbent vendor? If available, can you please send along the incumbent contract number?

A: This is a new requirement.
