About this file
Harbor Springs Public Schools has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a Visitor Management and Wearable Mobile Panic Button System to be implemented across four district facilities: Harbor Springs High School, Harbor Springs Middle School, Shay Elementary, and Blackbird Child Care Center. The district seeks to modernize campus safety by deploying two integrated systems - a Visitor Management System to efficiently register, screen, and track visitors, and a Wearable Mobile Panic Button System enabling staff to discreetly initiate emergency alerts with real-time location tracking. Proposals are due by May 23, 2025 at 2:00 PM Eastern Time, with the systems required to integrate with PowerSchool SIS and optionally with Intrado's Revolution Server.
The RFP requires comprehensive proposals including a company overview, project approach, detailed product specifications, implementation timeline, cost breakdown, warranty and maintenance plan, and references from similar K-12 installations. Evaluation criteria will focus on compliance with project requirements, system functionality, scalability, ease of use, total cost of ownership, vendor experience, technical expertise, warranty coverage, and proposed project timeline. Vendors must submit PDF proposals via email to Rod Fullerton, with any questions directed to Chris Cerrudo. The district's goal is to select a vendor that can provide a robust, user-friendly solution to enhance campus safety and security across all district facilities.
