Image 01 – SWPS Top View
SWPS Intake Sump Chamber This chamber is about 50 ft. x 10 ft. in size and 16 ft. deep. There are a series of grates that can be removed to allow access to this sump for equipment. Additionally, there is a 24-inch hatch with a ladder on the northeast side of the driveway for worker access. The asphalt area near the sump has a 6,000-pound weight restriction on equipment. There are approximately 55 cubic yards of materials to be removed and disposed of.
SWPS Pump 4 and 5 Sump Chamber This sump is approximately 51 ft. x 20 ft. in size and 16 ft. deep. It is located inside the building, at the center of the station and can be accessed from the west side of the building via an overhead door. It has a 5 ft. diameter hatch for equipment access and a 24-inch manhole entrance for worker access.
There are approximately 45 cubic yards of material to be removed and disposed.
Storm Water Pumping Station Sumps Cleanout A. Intake sump area and Pumps 4 & 5 sump cleaning shall commence at an agreed upon time between Bidder and the Village with a weather forecast of no rain for a minimum of three (3) days prior to the commencement of Work.

During the filter backwashing process, water is collected into Wetwell #2 prior to being recycled into the raw water at the head of the plant. The material to be removed is principally anthracite coal mixed with coagulant sludge with a density of approximately 50 lbs. per cubic foot. A representative sample of the material from Wetwell #2 is available at the Water Plant for analysis and testing. Approximately 65 cubic yards of solids will need to be removed. The Bidder is responsible for confirming this quantity prior to submitting a bid. This tank will be available for inspection at the pre-bid meeting.
Wetwell #2 Wetwell #2 is an underground tank. 20 ft. wide by 100 ft. long and 15 ft. deep. The tank is located adjacent to the plant mixing basins inside the plant grounds.
