About this file

This document is a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by Coloma Community Schools for a district-wide digital surveillance system. The school district is seeking bids for the purchase and installation of a comprehensive cloud-based video surveillance system to be implemented across all of their buildings, with a strong preference for Verkada cloud-based security cameras. The project timeline targets summer 2019 for installation, with an expected completion date of August 2019. The RFP specifies detailed technical requirements including cloud video storage, unlimited camera support, 30-day video retention, web and app-based access, multi-level administration, and specific camera technical specifications such as 1080p resolution, IP66 rating, infrared night vision, and motion detection capabilities.

The proposal requires bidders to provide a complete system solution, including installation, wiring, components, training, and technical support. Contractors must submit comprehensive documentation including proof of manufacturer relationships, a track record of similar projects, and references. The RFP mandates that each proposal include sworn statements disclosing familial relationships with school board members and certifying the contractor is not an Iran-linked business. Bids are due by 11:00 a.m. on March 1, 2019, at the Coloma Community Schools Administrative Office, with the district reserving the right to accept or reject any proposals. The system should include five flat-screen monitors for live video monitoring and must comply with FERPA regulations, with a preference for a 10-year warranty on security cameras.
