About this file

This file contains a series of satellite/aerial map images showing fiber route examples between military installations. The maps illustrate a fictitious fiber route (marked in red and yellow lines) connecting Offutt Air Force Base in Nebraska to Scott Air Force Base in Illinois, passing through the St. Louis area. The route includes detailed views of endpoint locations at 103 West Losey Street at Scott AFB, IL and Offutt AFB, NE, as well as intermediate points including a DECC (Defense Enterprise Computing Center) St. Louis location and vendor central offices in Bellevue NE, East St. Louis, Belleville IL, and Collinsville.

The images provide multiple zoom levels showing both the overall long-distance route connecting the bases as well as detailed last-mile connections at each facility. Each map image includes a prominent note stating "All fiber routes are fictitious and used only as an example." The maps appear to be Google Earth satellite imagery with overlay graphics showing the theoretical fiber paths between facilities.
