About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details the procurement of Engineering Development Unit (EDU) hardware and engineering support for the Venus Atmospheric Structure Investigation (VASI) instrument, to be sourced from Honeywell. The specific requirements include three QA1400 EDU analog accelerometers, one HG4934SRS angular rate sensor (Part Number 68904934-AA01), and twenty hours of engineering and subject matter expertise support. Standard documentation such as product specifications, interface control document (ICD), user's manual, and installation drawing are to be provided. The performance will take place at Honeywell's Clearwater, FL facility over an expected 12-month period, with the goal of characterizing the fine-scale structure and dynamics of Venus's atmosphere during entry and descent, including the first detailed profile of the deep atmosphere.

STATEMENT OF WORK

1. Objective/Requirements

The Venus Atmospheric Structure Investigation (VASI) instrument will characterize the fine-scale structure and dynamics of the Venus atmosphere during entry and descent, including the first detailed profile of the deep atmosphere. It is a suite of sensors, including Accelerometers and Angular Rate Sensors with a Data Processing Unit for atmospheric structure measurements and descent trajectory reconstruction.

This SOW outlines the Engineering Development Unit (EDU) hardware procurement and engineering support for the accelerometers and angular rate sensor from Honeywell.

The EDU Commercial of-the-shelf (COTS) hardware demonstrates function and shares similar (preferably identical) interface to the flight unit.

2. Characteristics, Scope, and Specs

The contractor shall provide:

• Three (3) QA1400 EDU analog accelerometers

• One (1) HG4934SRS angular rate sensor: Part Number 68904934-AA01 Engineering

Unit

• Twenty (20) hours of engineering and subject matter expertise support

Standard Documentation

1) Product Specification: Includes ICD and User's Manual

2) Installation Drawing

3. Place of Performance

Honeywell International Inc facility in Clearwater, FL

4. Period of Performance
