About this file

This is a requirements list for an Automatic Direction-Finding Surveillance System, marked as a draft document. The system must feature omnidirectional antennas capable of monitoring radio frequencies from 9 kHz to 40 GHz and be deployable on mobile platforms and vehicles while functioning in extreme outdoor environments, including near space launch vehicle operations during launch phases. The system shall provide bearing information for received radio signals up to 40 GHz and include motion compensation algorithms to account for mobile platform turning and movement when calculating bearings.

The system must deliver at least 100 MHz instantaneous bandwidth with real-time sweep capabilities and data recording functionality, including IQ recording capability. Integration requirements include compatibility with existing CRFS (Communications, Radio Frequency Spectrum) sensors to perform Time Difference of Arrival (TDoA) and Angle of Arrival (AoA) analysis for direction finding purposes. Additionally, the system must achieve data integration and interoperability with the Government's existing CRFS Mission Manager database to ensure seamless information sharing and operational coordination.
