About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the fabrication and outfitting of six special purpose protective equipment delivery vehicles for the United States Secret Service Technical Security Division. The vehicles must be built on a Ford F-550 or equivalent heavy-duty chassis and configured to transport, store, and deploy specialized protective equipment in support of the agency's protective mission. Each vehicle requires a custom-built cargo body with integrated shelving, equipment racks, climate control capability, backup power systems, communication equipment interfaces, and security features including locks and access controls. The SOW specifies detailed technical requirements including vehicle dimensions, weight capacity ratings, materials specifications, interior configurations, and safety compliance standards (NFPA, DOT, and EPA regulations). Additional requirements include GPS tracking capability, weather-resistant exterior finishes, interior lighting systems, and documentation of all custom fabrication work.

The contract vehicle is a non-personal services procurement managed through a Sources Sought pre-solicitation notice. Prospective contractors must submit capability statements limited to two pages that clearly demonstrate experience with similar vehicle fabrication and outfitting projects, including prior customer references, project dollar values, and photographic evidence of completed work. Interested companies must provide company information, SAM UEI, contact details, and documentation of any existing Federal Supply Schedule contracts or other relevant federal contract vehicles. The procurement is being conducted by the Department of Homeland Security US Secret Service, with specific emphasis on selecting contractors capable of meeting the specialized security and equipment delivery requirements outlined in the SOW.
