About this file
This document specifies technical requirements for a Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP) system. The USRP must feature RF connectors with 50 Ω SMA (f) specifications and include a processing system with a minimum 1200 MHz CPU, at least 4 GB DDR4 memory operating at 2.4 GT/s, and connectivity via RJ45 and at least two USB-C ports. The baseband component must support a minimum sampling rate of 500 MS/sec across at least 4 channels, with ADC resolution of at least 12 bits and DAC resolution of at least 14 bits.
The RF transmitter component must provide no fewer than 4 channels with a frequency range spanning 1 MHz to 8 GHz, frequency step resolution less than 1 MHz, and maximum output power not exceeding 23 dBm. The system must deliver a maximum instantaneous real-time bandwidth of 400 MHz with average noise density no greater than -146 dBm/Hz (measured at 23°C across the 10 MHz to 8 GHz range). Environmental specifications require operating temperatures between 0°C and 55°C, storage temperatures from -40°C to 71°C, operating humidity of 10% to 90% noncondensing, and storage humidity of 5% to 95% noncondensing. The USRP must demonstrate software compatibility with MATLAB Toolboxes for IQ sample transmission and reception, UHD version 4.1 or later, RFNoC, GNU Radio, C/C++, Python, OpenEmbedded Linux, and LabVIEW 2020 or later (including LabVIEW FPGA 2020 or later).
