Redding COCO Are there any plans for Simplified Acq at USCIS? We execute contracts/orders at all levels to include simplified thresholds.

Do vendors need to obtain a security clearance to pursue opportunities to work with USCIS?

Each requirement has it's own requirements and they will be outlined in the solicitation.

Will USCIS strategically source through GSA MAS more often?

Market research determines the contract vehicle based on the requirement and the available strategic source vehicle. so it "depends" at the time and requirement

Does USCIS measure contract performance of SB awards to ensure it was the right decision to do SB set-aside?

Yes, performance is monitored as part of contract administration, and reported in CPARS when applicable. If there is a recurring need for the requirement then this would likely be a consideration during market research of the recompete/follow-on effort.

Redding/Hubbard Overall, how does USCIS determine which opportunities are awarded as 8(a) direct awards -- through formal market research or other?

When determining whether an 8(a) direct award is appropriate for a requirement, the total value of the requirement and the market research findings are considered.

Redding/Hubbard There seems to be numerous 8(a) direct awards. How does an 8a with relevant skills get on USCIS radar to have a chance of a direct award in the future?

Please monitor APFS for requirements that your company may be interested in and capable of supporting. We encourage you to reach out to the points of contact assigned within APFS for the specific requirement to express your interest and share any relevant information regarding your company's capabilities.
