Underwater Scanning Laser Vibrometer Minimum Specifications

Requirements include acquiring the Polytec PSV-400 laser vibrometer and modifying the unit in order to perform non-contact, full-field optical vibration measurements at depths of up to 600ft

(265psi) with the below minimum specifications:

• Submersible to 600ft (265psi)

• Full-field measurement with high spatial resolution

• Frequency range from DC to 25 MHz

• Vibrational velocities of 0.01 μm/s up to 30 m/s

• Software to convert signals to be suitable for underwater operation

• Open data and control interfaces

• Unit Testing after production o Verification of operation within frequency and velocity range under

265psi of hydrostatic pressure

• Manuals and on-line training of Navy Personnel
