About this file
This document is an Information Request related to a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the FY2025 Weather Program Office (WPO) Research Programs. The NOFO is soliciting proposals for Testbeds projects, with approximate total award funding of $4,200,000 per year. The program aligns with the Weather Research and Forecasting Innovation Act of 2017 and will support new weather, water, and earth system observing and forecasting applications. Key priorities include improved analysis techniques, better forecast models and communication, and probabilistic forecasting. Applicants are asked to provide information on whether the named investigators identify with underserved groups as defined in Executive Order 13985, which will be used to measure the WPO's progress on nurturing a diverse scientific research community. This information will not be provided to reviewers or considered during the selection process.
