About this file
This notice is for a pre-solicitation regarding a contract opportunity to provide cathodic protection services for seven water supply wells at Beale Air Force Base in California. The wells range from approximately 300 feet deep with 16-inch casings. One existing impressed current cathodic protection system connected five of the wells to a central anode bed and rectifier installed in 1971. The other two wells previously connected through overhead cable that has since been removed. The existing protection system is also disconnected at some locations. Due to potential asbestos and environmental issues, abatement and compliance plans may be required. The notice serves to meet synopsis requirements in FAR 5.204. It requests recommendations for accurate NAICs or PSC codes as well as concerns about the statement of need or supporting documents to address in the formal solicitation. The Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command is the issuing agency.
