Addendum No. 1 Summary: RFQ UD-26-333

This is Addendum No. 1 to a Request for Quotation issued by Long Beach Utilities (LBPUD) on June 11, 2026, for the procurement of one air-cooled scroll compressor chiller unit. The addendum provides clarifications to the original RFQ through a question-and-answer format addressing bidder inquiries. The 30-ton portable chiller unit is being purchased as a one-time permanent acquisition and will be located in the same position as the existing unit currently in service. The trailer must be new and sized as the smallest unit that will safely accommodate the equipment, though specific maximum dimensions are not prescribed in the addendum. Bidders who fail to acknowledge receipt of this addendum by signing and submitting it with their bid may be disqualified from consideration.

The addendum confirms that units equipped with R-454B refrigerant are acceptable substitutes for the originally specified R-410A refrigerant, which has been phased out. Buffer tanks and expansion tanks are not required as part of the scope of work. The document was prepared by Esme Houtepen, Utilities Procurement Representative, and requires bidder acknowledgment through signature, company name, print name, title, and date on the provided signature line before bid submission.
