About this file

This is a Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by the University of Connecticut Health Center (UConn Health) seeking qualified organizations to serve as strategic communication support partners. UConn Health is requesting proposals for earned media and brand communications support to advance strategic initiatives over an approximate one-year term from March 1, 2026 through February 28, 2027, with an option to renew for one additional one-year period. The scope of work includes providing strategic media relations guidance, performing media outreach, developing earned media materials such as press releases and interview preparation content, elevating UConn Health's media profile, assessing and measuring earned media impact, and providing brand communications strategy and materials development. UConn Health anticipates making multiple awards to selected suppliers based on evaluation criteria; however, no specific response due date, bidder's conference details, or site visit information is provided in this spreadsheet template. The RFP requires that proposals be submitted electronically via email to the identified buyer with all sections completed in their entirety, and all forms must be signed and dated.

Proposers must provide detailed qualifications demonstrating strong background with hospital systems and healthcare providers, experience guiding healthcare systems through complex communication initiatives, capabilities in social and digital media, knowledge of Connecticut's media and political landscape, and identification of assigned team members with immediate availability. Pricing shall remain fixed throughout the contract term with net 45-day payment terms; UConn Health is exempt from excise, transportation, and sales taxes. The RFP requires proposers to have been in business continuously for at least two years under the same name or tax identification number, provide three current client references and one previous client reference, and confirm no conflicts of interest with other clients. Subcontracting and offshoring are explicitly prohibited. Proposers must agree to non-negotiable contract terms, obtain appropriate insurance with UConn Health named as additional insured, and comply with the University of Connecticut's Vendor Code of Conduct. No specific contract value, set-aside provisions, or incumbent contractor information is disclosed in this RFP template.
