SYNOPSIS-BETA.SAM

PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT PROPOSALS IN RESPONSE TO THIS SYNOPSIS

The purpose of this synopsis is to notify interested parties that the United States Transportation

Command (USTRANSCOM) Acquisition (AQ) office anticipates issuing a solicitation for

Stevedoring and Related Terminal Services (S&RTS). Services include vessel loading, vessel discharging, cargo receipt and disposition, cargo staging, transfer of cargo, tallying and checking, customs clearance, yard management, and handling of Government provided securing material in support of Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC) 835th

Transportation Battalion at the Port of Rota, Spain. The contractor shall provide sufficient qualified labor, gear equipment and materials to fulfill the requirement.

The applicable North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 488320, Marine Cargo Handling or 488999, All Other Support Activities for Transportation. The period of performance begins 1 April 2022. USTRANSCOM anticipates issuing an Indefinite Delivery

Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for a 5-year ordering period of performance from 1 April

2022 through 31 March 2027 with an optional six-month extension from 1 April 2027 through

30 September 2027 if needed.

Release of a Request for Proposal (RFP) should be available on https://sam.gov (formerly

FBO.gov) on or about 4 February 2022. No hardcopies of this solicitation will be issued. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by
