About this file
This is a Request for Proposals (RFP) from the Town of Mooresville, North Carolina, seeking a vendor to provide and install a theater cinema video system for the Charles Mack Citizen Center's Joe V. Knox Auditorium. The project involves supplying equipment including a laser projector (10,000 lumens, 1920x1200 resolution), video switcher, audio extraction system, Bluray disc player, and associated mounting and connection hardware. The RFP was released on February 12, 2024, with a deadline for vendor questions on February 15, 2024, and proposal submissions due by February 23, 2024, at 5:00 pm. The anticipated award date is February 27, 2024, with a contract start date of March 27, 2024. The project requires a two-year on-site warranty and must integrate with the existing QSC Q-SYS sound/control system.
The RFP evaluation will be conducted by a committee using point-based scoring across four equal-weighted criteria: suitability of proposed items, vendor's ability to modify equipment and processes, ability to meet project timelines, and overall proposal response. The Town will select the vendor offering the most advantageous proposal, not necessarily the lowest-cost option. Vendors must provide a single account manager with governmental accounts management experience, submit monthly or quarterly invoices in Excel format with Net 30 terms, and be registered with the NC Secretary of State. The installation must be scheduled around existing events at the Charles Mack Citizen Center, and the selected vendor will be responsible for maintaining and servicing all equipment with minimal disruption to town operations.
