About this file
This is a Statement of Objectives for the acquisition of a telehandler by the Western Nevada Agency in Carson City, Nevada, for use in operating the Walker River Indian Irrigation Project (WRIIP) in Schurz, Nevada.
The primary objective is to efficiently receive and move materials to work sites throughout WRIIP, including loading and unloading trucks and trailers and handling materials such as pipe, gates, and valves. The telehandler is required because grounds surrounding many WRIIP ditches are uneven with loose soils, where a telehandler can operate more effectively than a forklift and can extend to reach opposite banks of ditches. The equipment must match the towing limitations of the government's service truck.
Key technical specifications include an operating weight between 10,000 and 12,000 pounds, an enclosed cab, and a maximum lift height of 19 feet or more. The telehandler must be delivered to WRIIP in Schurz, Nevada, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The vendor must provide warranty service repairs either on site in Schurz, Nevada, or by transport to a nearby shop located within 100 miles. The equipment must include both a bucket and pallet forks. The government will provide an operator to offload the telehandler at Western Nevada Agency, 311 E. Washington Street, Carson City, Nevada 89701-4065.
