SUBJECT: Combined Arms Center (CAC) and Fort Leavenworth FY23 Holiday and Training Holiday Observances

3. Dependent upon mission and operational requirements, treat the days in subparagraph 2b above as training holidays for military personnel. When requested, and with supervisory approval, civilian personnel may use annual or other appropriate leave on training holidays.
4. The CAC holiday season is 19 December 2022—2 January 2023. Staff offices will remain operational throughout the holiday period, except for Christmas and New Year’s days and designated training holidays (23 December 2022 and 30 December 2022).
However, manning may be reduced depending on mission requirements. The half-day schedule for military personnel runs 19 December 2022—2 January 2023. The intent is that personnel conduct physical training, report to work, and are all released NET l200hrs. Units will conform to a true half-day schedule. Day-on/Day-off schedules are not authorized.
a. Each Deputy Commanding General, Director, or Staff Principal is responsible for managing the staffing of their organizations and maintaining a Holiday Leave Tracker.
Adhere to all Army regulations and civilian labor agreements in planning and executing holiday work schedules. Civilian employees must be in an approved leave status when they are not on duty during the holiday period.
5. To ensure safe and enjoyable holiday periods, supervisors will conduct pre-holiday safety briefings covering the minimum areas of: safe driving, alcohol awareness, domestic violence, and environmental conditions.
