About this file

This document provides instructions for the Tax Compliance Certification required for bidders on a Commonwealth of Massachusetts contract opportunity. To demonstrate compliance with Massachusetts tax laws, bidders must submit an original or photocopy of a Certificate of Good Standing issued by the Massachusetts Department of Revenue within the past year. The instructions outline the information required to obtain the certificate, including the corporation's name, address, telephone number, types of taxes, and a signature from a major officer. If the bidder does not have the certificate at time of bid, they must submit documentation showing they have applied for it, with the certificate required prior to final contract execution.

The document does not provide any details on the specific contract opportunity, such as the products or services requested, project overview, response dates, award information, or contract term. It solely focuses on the tax compliance certification requirement for bidders on Commonwealth of Massachusetts contracts.

Include the following information:

1. Name, address and telephone number of the corporation.

2. Reason for the request.

3. Types of taxes to which the corporation is subject and the corresponding Massachusetts identification number (if any).

4. Power of Attorney Form M-2848, if applicable.
