About this file

This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for a crane rental service to support a cab glass replacement project at the Miami International Airport (MIA) Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT).

The SOW outlines the requirements for the vendor to provide a mobile crane capable of lifting and lowering the 12-foot tall cab glass units from ground level to the ATCT cab, along with a glass lifting device and counterbalance unit. The work is to be performed over a two-day period from November 20-21, 2024. The vendor must provide a lift plan, drawings, and other documentation detailing the crane specifics, lift plan, and mobilization/demobilization timeline. The vendor is also responsible for all crane mobilization, fuel, tolls, permits, and any damage to the surrounding area during the process.

This SOW is related to a federal contract opportunity issued by the Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration Franchise Acquisition Services for the upcoming crane support services requirement at the MIA ATCT. The agency is conducting a market survey to determine if adequate competition exists to set-aside the requirement for small businesses.
