About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details a security enhancement project for DLA Distribution in Corpus Christi, TX, focusing on Building 15. The project involves installing three interior fence lengths from floor to ceiling, with specifications including a 6-foot tall fence, 2-foot top guard, and triple strand facing away, ultimately creating an 8-foot tall secured area. Additional requirements include installing an Emergency Exit Panic Gate that meets UFC standards and a speed door on the existing roll-up door.
Specific technical requirements mandate that chain link fences and gates comply with UFGS 32 31 13 and UFGS 32 31 13.53 standards, referencing ASTM F2611 and ASTM F1712 for material specifications. The fencing is intended to provide physical security functions such as defining legal boundaries, controlling access points, supporting surveillance, deterring intruders, and delaying unauthorized entry. The project's end goal is to upgrade existing fencing and create a new storage lot adjacent to Building 1846 for equipment and materials relocation in preparation for a future Disposition Warehouse.
