About this file
This statement of work outlines requirements for a near infrared focal plane array camera procurement. The National Aeronautics and Space Administration requires one cooled near infrared focal plane array camera with a minimum 640 x 512 pixel array and image area of 6 x 6 mm, sensitivity range of 900-1650 nm, peak quantum efficiency over 70%, programmable integration time of 1.0 seconds or less, rise time less than 0.1 seconds, single shot externally triggered acquisition, thermoelectric cooling programmable to -15 C, working distance from detector to front face of 17 ke-, and sensor noise equivalent temperature difference less than 20 mK. The camera will be used to characterize shock wave properties in the Electric Arc Shock Tube facility.
The related federal contract opportunity posted by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration Shared Services Center seeks proposals for the near infrared focal plane array camera specified in the statement of work to replace an older camera no longer available or serviceable.

Statement of Work for Procuring: Near Infrared Focal Plane Array Camera
POC: Brett Cruden Phone:650-604-1933 Email: Brett.A.Cruden@nasa.gov Code: TSA
1. INTRODUCTION
The ESM Project utilizes Infrared Focal Plane Arrays (FPAs, also referred to as Cameras) to characterize shock wave properties in the Electric Arc Shock Tube at NASA Ames. This procurement is for an FPA with sensitivity in the Near Infrared to replace an older camera which is no longer available or serviceable. A recent event in the facility rendered the camera inoperable and there was no company available that could replace or service the camera; a used replacement from a reseller was located with some difficulty. The risk posed by having a camera model for which parts or service are no longer available necessitates procurement of a new camera to perform the function of spectroscopy at near infrared wavelengths (roughly 900-1600 nm).
