QUESTIONS and RESPONSES -

QUESTION
RESPONSE
1
I understood you would request when you wanted the items or gifts to be sent to employee correct, is there any one of the items that get sent all at once?
Incorrect: Only the gift baskets are being sent directly to the employee. All of the length of service items are to be packaged individually but sent together to either OCC Headquarters or OCC’s office is Denver, CO (the location will be specified when the order is placed).
2
In 1.1 Pricing you requested estimated quantity, unit price and the estimated total. What are we supposed to use to the estimated quantity?
We have updated Part 1.1, please see the attachment package for the updated pages.
3
Is it my understanding that a sample of the Gift Basket and the other items listed in section 3.0 should accompany the proposal to be submitted NLT 11/30/2009 for evaluation prior to the contract being awarded. If so, the information pertaining to 3.0 Hand-Carried/Courier-Delivered Proposals does not convey instruction for the samples you are requesting nor does it provide who will be responsible for the loss or damage of these items.
The sample items are part of the proposals thus Section 3.0 of Part IV does convey the instructions. A proposal is not complete without the sample items.

All samples are FOB Destination, including when we return the samples after award. Therefore, until the Contract Specialist (Natalie Wallace) accepts the proposals (with samples) the vendor is responsible for loss or damage. Afterwards, until the vendor accepts the returned samples, the OCC will be responsible for loss or damage.

4
What is the length of the Evaluation period prior to awarding the contract?
The OCC intends to award this contract by mid-January 2010.
5
When would the contract begin, after its awarded?
The contract will have an effective start date of the date it is signed.
6
Do you desire that all of the gift baskets contain the same flavor coffee or can each contain a different flavor of Black Mountain Kona?
Each basket should be completely identical
7
One of the gourmet items Emerald Nuts offers many varieties. Do you have a preference?
No, the items listed for the gift baskets are all examples, but the item selected should be of equivalent value.
8
For the solicitation submission, is it possible for the gift baskets and other items to be delivered directly to the OCC, if your business is in the Metro Area or would it create security issues for the agency?
It is perfectly acceptable for the items to be delivered directly to the OCC, but they must come together as up to two packages (one for the basket and one for the length of service gifts) and must specify the vendor information and solicitation number.
9
Could you please provide a logo of the broken donut?
